Objective of Talk Evaluation of lame cattle and appropriate selection of individuals that are good candidates for distal limb bovine arthrodesis procedures will be the focus of this session. Emphasis on in-field approaches to the bovine arthrodesis procedure & aftercare will be reviewed, with an overview of available cattle restraint methods, nerve blocks, and diagnostics to make this a successful treatment option. Discussion will also occur on choosing the best candidates for this procedure based on extent of disease and anticipated prognosis of patients related to their purpose.
