Facilities provided by the veterinary practice:
|
Clinical work is primarily on-farm, but some cases (mostly outpatient) may be received at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH). The VTH employs the largest team of board-certified veterinary specialists in Oregon; these clinicians are available for consultation, referral and collaborative care. Afterhours duty is shared among RVP clinicians, and involves all large animal species.
The RVP capabilities include digital radiographs, ultrasound, endoscopy, shockwave, motorized dentistry and ProStride equipment |
Other Personnel : |
There are 2 other veterinarians within the Rural Veterinary Practice. One provides clinical services for equine and food producing animals and the other one works exclusively with food animals. Currently, the RVP service has three veterinary assistants that support the clinical work |
Practice strengths and emphasis of the business:
|
The service vision is to develop competence and compassion through excellence in education, primary care and preventative medicine for our horse and livestock communities
The RVP rotation is always a favorite among students, and RVP clinicians play important roles in teaching the fundamentals of doctorhood and introducing future veterinarians to the realm of large animal practice. Please consider joining our team and making an impact on our staff, patients and the next generation of veterinarians.
For full consideration please apply by June 30th. Unless the positions are filled, we will continue to accept applications until July 31st, 2025. OSU is an AA/EOE/Vets/Disabled inclusive community.
