Green River Embryo Transfer is seeking to add a full time or part time veterinarian to our team. We are a bovine specialty practice located in Livingston, TN that focuses on advanced reproductive technologies such as superovulation, embryo collection, cryopreservation, and embryo transfer. We service client needs through on farm and in house embryo services. We also offer consultation and some general/preventative medicine services to our local ET clients.
Training Required:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent. Ability to acquire licensure in appropriate states (TN & KY). Category II Accreditation or ability to become accredited with USDA-APHIS. Ability to become certified with the American Embryo Transfer Association. Ability to drive a truck and trailer. Willingness to travel on overnight trips during the busy season (October-June).
Experience Desired:
Previous OPU and/or conventional embryo collection, evaluation, and transfer experience is preferred. However, new grads are welcome to apply.

Commensurate with experience.

Facilities provided by the veterinary practice:
We have a newly constructed office and barn/haul in facility located in Livingston, TN. We provide donor housing at this location with multiple pens and outdoor grass runs to house client donors. We have a foremost chute as well as an enclosed collection room. We also have a hydraulic tilt chute for hoof related procedures. We currently have one truck/trailer with a portable lab for on farm embryo collection procedures as well as another truck and fully stocked vet box for general medicine procedures.

We have one full time DVM, one embryologist/technician, one donor manager, and a practice manager on staff.

Livingston Tennessee is located within 1.5 hours drive from Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga. It offers a small town community with many local shops and restaurants in our town center. It is only a 20 minute drive to Cookeville which is home to TN Tech University and has many more dining and business options. There are also a number of outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, lakes, state parks, and golf courses in the surrounding area.
