Objective:
|
The Dairy Authority is looking for a veterinarian for our 100% dairy practice. Our practice is a mix of clinical work and consulting. Our clinical practice serves dairies in the Colorado area that range in size from 1000 to 8000 cows. Consulting in reproduction assessment, calf ranches, mastitis control and employee training ranges from coast to coast with the majority of clients centered around Colorado, Kansas and surrounding states. We offer services such as monthly or weekly data analysis and other epidemiologic surveys, employee training, parlor evaluations, lung scanning and basic ET/OPU. The Dairy Authority also offers advanced laboratory services that started in milk quality but now extends to all types of samples such as tissues, feces and more. In addition to bacteriology, the TDA lab offer ELISA, PCR and MALDI-TOF results for state-of-the-art sample analysis. It is our hopes to find a veterinarian that enjoys some clinical work and production medicine with desire to do some consulting. We can also offer part time veterinary work if interested. |

Training Required:
|
DVM or VMD and licensure in the state of Colorado. Licensure in 3-4 other states may be required however The Dairy Authority will pay all licensure fees |

Experience Desired:
|
New graduates and seasoned practitioners encouraged to apply. New graduates will start out with clinical side of things and be mentored until comfortable while the seasoned veterinarian will evolve quickly into the production medicine and consulting role. |

Salary:
|
Base Salary is $95,000.00. Veterinarians with more experience or higher level of skills will start higher. |

IRA and paid health insurance benefits after 90 days. Ten days paid vacation to start. |

The Dairy Authority provides office space and conference room for its veterinarians. We also provide all tools to practice and consult (truck, vet equipment, ultrasound, credit card, etc). Phone, computer, DC305 software, Eight days of paid CE annually. |
