Facilities provided by the veterinary practice:
We have recently completed a complete renovation of our cattle haul-in facilities (there is a decent video on our facebook page)! We are located on a working stocker calf ranch and have a great set of sorting pens, covered starting traps, hydraulic alley way and squeeze chute with scales, indoor hospital pens, multiple loadouts, mobile group scale, mobile catch pen, mobile hydraulic chute, mobile manual chute, mobile hydraulic foot trimming table with its own separate working area here at the clinic, 2 easi-scan ultrasounds, and a dystocia area. Currently there are 3 vet trucks set up with portavet beds and access to an additional truck for farm work. In the last few years we have added a concreted equine treatment area with stocks, drains, a small indoor round pen, updated the "mare motel", power floats, and in-house EIA lab for same day coggins. Additionally, you would have access to our outdoor arena with lights. We have two fully furnished small animal surgery suites with gas anesthesia machines, digital x-ray, 2 easi-scan ultrasounds, and in-house bloodwork machines.
Other Personnel :  Support staff currently includes 5 technicians (2 licensed), 2 office managers, kennel tech and 2 ranch hands that double as large animal technicians as needed. Associate veterinarians include 2016 MU grad, 2016 Mississippi State Grade, and 2020 MU grad. Currently all associates see a little of everything. Caseload can remain fully mixed for new associate or open to adjusting to better fit specific interests for the right hire.
Practice strengths and emphasis of the business:
We take a lot of pride in the appearance and upkeep of our facilities. Plans to renovate/expand/improve are constant. You would be joining a team that actively works to continue to provide our staff, clients, and patients with the best environment we can. This practice was built off the late "Doc" Haskins love for beef cattle. There will be no question after an onsite visit how hard we have worked to provide a setup and staff that can completely provide for our local producers. You will have no shortage of cow/calf and stocker calf opportunities. We have an impressive small animal following, and we continue to expand and improve the services and facilities provided for these clients.
Practice Area:  Diamond is located within an hour of Springfield, Mo and a little over an hour to Fayetteville, Ar if you are looking for a rural practice experience with access to concerts and college/professional sporting events. Most important to us will be an associate that is received well by our clients and fits well with our current team. As is true with most rural practices, our team and our clients are our family. If offered a position with us, we will not be simply filling an opening. You would be offered based on being a great fit for our team! Communication, integretiy, professionalism, and your ability to work with the team are most important. As previously mentioned, we are open to applicants of all interests. We would be happy to help expand services or add equipment in an area of interest. While true mixed animal practitioners are more than welcome, a more small animal minded or large animal minded associate shows potential to be a welcome addition in order to have more consistent availability in those areas. Remaining associates are flexible and willing to give up some of their caseload to an associate with a more tailored interest.
