Practice utilizes web based financial and record management software with user friendly protocol design and prescription generation software.
Other Personnel :  High Plains Veterinary Services employs an office manager to assist with invoicing, regulatory paperwork, lab work, etc. Most of the ambulatory work is performed solo with the help of the client; technicians are available for large volume days. Foothills Veterinary Clinic maintains a staff of several veterinary assistants and a registered vet tech who are available to assist on haul in procedures and small animal work.
Practice strengths and emphasis of the business:
Cardston county has roughly 40,000 cow/calf pairs and 5000 people; we’ve got a loyal clientele and a great community. There is enough work here to keep 3 veterinarians busy most of the year. We try to keep our summers going at a little slower pace due to the multitude of outdoor recreational activities that abound here. There are lots of opportunities to expand the business depending on one’s interests.
Practice Area:  Cardston is nestled within the foothills of the Canadian Rockies. Waterton National Park borders the Western edge of the county and the U.S. border forms the Southern Border; the North East entrance to Glacier National Park is a 45 minute drive from town. The Great Plains begin to the East of Cardston and the county contains some of the best Mule Deer habitat in the world. There are also plenty of Elk, Grizzly Bear, Black Bear, Bighorn Sheep, Pronghorn Antelope, Moose, Whitetail, Ducks, Geese, Grouse, Pheasants, Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Brook Trout, Westslope Cutthroat, Bull Trout, Lake Trout, Grayling, Pike, Ground Squirrels, and just about every kind of Bird of Prey you can think of, all within easy access. If you enjoy wildlife, the outdoors, and most importantly, if you are looking for a nice, quiet corner of the world to raise a family, or to ease into semi-retirement, you couldn’t do much better than Cardston.
