Objective:
 Atwater Merced Veterinary Clinics, Inc. (AMVC) seeks a motivated, full time, mixed-animal veterinarian that is passionate about dairy practice and has an additional interest in small animals and small ruminants. The breadth of opportunity in our practice allows our associates to develop their personal practice focus to suit their interests. Our mission at AMVC is to provide the best possible climate for maximum development for our associates. We are looking for a compassionate, energetic, dedicated professional that is committed to providing high quality herd health and small animal veterinary services. Training Required:
 DVM degree and California licensure required. 
Experience Desired:
 Experienced veterinarians and new graduates are encouraged to apply. Excellent skills in dairy herd health, reproductive and preventative medicine/surgery services is preferred, but our group practice setting provides a great environment for a new graduate that is building skills as a dairy practitioner. Mentorship is guaranteed at AMVC. Our team approach to practice allows new graduates to gain valuable experience in a supportive setting. Whether you are a new graduate or experienced veterinarian, our goal is to help you develop strong relationships with our dairy clients that will set you up for a successful future in our practice. 
Salary:
 Competitive salary and benefits package. 
Benefits:
 Benefits package including pension plan, 401K, medical, dental, licensure, CE, AVMA, CVMA and local association dues. We provide a fully supplied vet truck, cell phone, scrubs, white coats, coveralls, and boots. A strong emphasis on mentorship and collaboration is achieved by partnering on herd checks and bi-monthly doctor meetings. Our philosophy of teamwork continues through the small animal aspect of our practice where two doctors are routinely scheduled at each facility. After-hour small animal emergencies are referred to an emergency clinic in the area. The large animal on-call schedule is shared equally by 6 veterinarians.

 Our veterinarians are equipped with everything necessary to provide cutting edge herd health services including truck, ultrasound, cell phone, computer, and access to dairy software consulting programs. The Merced Veterinary Clinic is AAHA accredited. The Atwater Veterinary Center is a Veterinary Economics Hospital of the Year design award winner.  
Other Personnel :  AMVC employs 10 doctors complete with small and large animal support staff. Some of our doctors are 100% small animal and others are 100% dairy. Most associates fall somewhere in the middle and typically begin working as (50:50) mixed animal veterinarians, but there is always opportunity to shift in either direction as interest or opportunity develops.  
Practice strengths and emphasis of the business:
 The dairy aspect of the practice is a fully operative ambulatory service. Our loyal clients have come to expect on-going and high quality consultation services in all areas of practice. We strive to develop and invest in the individual strengths of our veterinarians and then collaborate as a team to meet our clients unique needs. We service a wide variety of dairy farms that range in size from 1000-6000 milking head. Dairy services provided include routine palpation, in-house milk quality, milking equipment systems analysis, advanced reproductive techniques, consultation services, and dairy employee education. The practice has also experienced a steady increase in small ruminant and swine clients over the last 2-3 years. Our well-equipped, computerized small animal facilities include digital radiology, laser, ultrasound, dental suite and complete in-house laboratory. AMVC is proud to be involved in community outreach and has partnered with our local animal shelter, allowing interested veterinarians to provide spays, neuters, and routine medical care to shelter animals. 
Practice Area:  In the heart of Central California, Merced is near San Francisco, Monterey, Sacramento and Yosemite National Park. Merced is a growing, family-friendly city and home of University of California, Merced campus.
