Overton Veterinary Services, located just outside Lexington, NE. is seeking an associate veterinarian to join a collaborative, fast-paced, progressive 6 doctor practice that has been in existence since 1964. The position is primarily for a food animal practitioner specializing in bovine practice, but with an interest and ability to occasionally handle mixed animal practice as well. On call duties are shared equally among the doctors which will allow all Veterinarians to enjoy 3-4 weeks in a row without call. With a 5-6 Doctor practice we are able to have a collaborative environment that produces a great mentorship environment.
Training Required:
Must have a DVM degree from an accredited school, pass the National Board Examination (NAVLE), and fulfill state-specific requirements, which may include a state jurisprudence exam and a background check.

Facilities provided by the veterinary practice:
The 9000 sq foot facility is well equipped with a surgery suite, 4 exam rooms, climate controlled equine room, gas anesthesia, dental scaler and polisher, blood profile diagnostic machines, multiple portable ultrasounds, digital radiography, 2 wet tables and a surgical suite.
OVS has 17 boarding runs and an enclosed outdoor exercise area with field turf. The food animal haul-in facility has an indoor chute that can tilt, ob room, and a calf room for hospitalized baby calves. There are three portable chutes, two of which have scales. Our facility is also equipped with equine stocks and separate equine surgery room, power float, and 2 horse recovery stalls. OVS employs 20 people which allows our Veterinarians to focus on client care and interaction.
