Two Years In: The virology behind H5 influenza in dairy cattle

Objective of Talk We will discuss the current understanding of H5N1 influenza in dairy cattle in the US. This will include an overview of the outbreak including information on what we are learning from viral genomics, how we identify sources of infections, and what the current threat is to humans. We will also cover highly pathogenic avian influenza more generally from a human and animal heath perspective.
