Amstutz Scholarship Application - 2008
Individual applications can not be saved on the application site prior to submission. For example if a student partially completes an application with the idea of returning to the site to complete it at a later time their application will not be saved. It would be advisable to complete the application as a word document then cut and paste responses into the appropriate sections of the application just prior to submitting. That would also solve the heartbreak of a dropped connection during the application process.
In the space below give a biographical account that outlines your background in the cattle industries and/or bovine practice. Also list factors that stimulated your interest and involvement in bovine medicine and include bovine related work experience and agriculture/veterinary medicine extracurricular activities. (Your answer for this question is limited to 3000 characters (including spaces). We encourage you to draft your response outside of this site and then cut and paste into the appropriate answer blanks)
In the space below describe your plans following graduation from veterinary school. (Your answer for this question is limited to 500 characters (including spaces). We encourage you to draft your response outside of this site and then cut and paste into the appropriate answer blanks)
Two letters of recommendation from practicing veterinarians or veterinary school faculty are required. Recommendations must attest to the character of the applicant, validate applicant's interest in bovine practice, and involvement in bovine related activities. The committee asks that the letters of recommendation be submitted online if possible (ask the persons submitting a letter of reference to go to www.aabp.org; click on "Students"; click on "Grants/Scholarships" then select "Enter a Reference Letter for a student" under the AABP Amstutz Scholarship or go to http://www.aabp.org/students/amstutz/choose_student.asp).
