Practical application of genomics

Objective of Talk This presentation will focus on practical ways that producers can leverage genomics to improve their cowherd. I will discuss expected progeny differences (EPDs) and how genomic tests increase their accuracy for making breeding decisions in seedstock herds and for sire selection in commercial herds. Additionally, I will discuss the increasing role that genomics is playing in commercial heifer selection.
