Objective of Talk This session will cover a wide range of genetics and genomics topics that will enable veterinarians to consult commercial cattle producers making breeding decisions. Starting with defining a breeding goal, we will walk through the available selection tools aimed at reducing risk and accelerating genetic progress. This will include EPDs, genomic tests, and economic selection indexes.
