Objective:
|
Veterinary Medical Center is a well established 9 doctor mixed animal veterinary practice in Williamsburg, Iowa located just off of Interstate 80 approximately 30 minutes from Iowa City. We are looking for a motivated and driven associate to work primarily with bovine clientele. The preferred associate must have the ability to think critically, effectively communicate with clients and have the desire to work as a team. |

Large animal on call only split between 7 large animal doctors. 1/2 day off after weekday call, full Friday off after weekend call. 401k with company match, health insurance, paid vacation, cell phone, truck and vet box if desired, CE allowance, clothing allowance, IVMA dues. |

Current building was remodeled in 2022 to include an indoor working facility with hydraulic chute, double hydraulic alleyway and ample pen space for working large groups of calves and large groups of cows. Other upgrades include a separate calf fluid ward, calf and small ruminant surgery space, large animal offices and student apartments spaces on the second floor. Portable manual chutes are used for on-farm chute jobs. Truck and vet box can be provided if desired. |

We are a 9 doctor mixed animal practice with each doctor specializing in their preferred focus. We currently have 4 large animal doctors (cattle, sheep, goats), 3 swine doctors and 2 small animal doctors. Support staff includes technicians, office managers, inventory managers, receptionists and assistants to travel on-farm with veterinarians. |

With numerous support staff and a well-rounded team of veterinarians, the sky is the limit at VMC. Our office staff is a well-trained team that takes care of day-to-day activities while our veterinarians are free to practice medicine and focus on areas that interest them. We pride ourselves in allowing our associates to bring new business ventures to the practice. We currently have a heifer development program, ET recipient herd, laparoscopic AI and semen freezing abilities for small ruminants, sow farms and a swine management business. Our hope is to continue this trend and bring additional services to clientele that will enhance and streamline their animal agriculture businesses. |
