Objective:

Looking for a food animal veterinarian and we are excited to welcome a new face to our team! Will consider full- or part-time interest. |

Training Required:

DVM or equivalent and NYS license, USDA Category II Accreditation (can be acquired after hiring if needed). VT and MA licenses will also be needed but can also be acquired after hire. |

Salary:

Commensurate with experience, salary or base plus commission structure. Range $85,000 to $110,000 |

Facilities provided by the veterinary practice:

Our clinic has a surgical and treatment area for haul-in, conference room for weekly staff meetings and other meetings, and office space for doctors and staff. Fully stocked trucks are provided. We have an in-house lab for milk cultures and other diagnostics, in addition to equipment for milking system analysis, and ET/IVF transfers and conventional flushing available. |

Practice strengths and emphasis of the business:
|
We are a rural practice that focuses primarily on dairy production medicine and herd health, along with beef and small ruminant service. In addition to routine dairy practice, other services provided include milk system analysis, ET service, and records and facilities analysis, but any specialty or interest will be fully supported by the clinic. Beef clients are mostly cow calf, and small ruminant clients are generally small farms, with a mix of dairy, meat goats/sheep and backyard pets. Our goal is to provide collaborative medicine, service, and consultation for our clients with an emphasis on communication and mentorship in the clinic. We encourage professional development of the personal interests and strengths of our veterinarians. We have 2 excellent support staff that coordinate scheduling and general clinic operations, and also provide assistance as technicians. We are supportive of families and can accommodate flexible schedules, our normal work week is four days with on-call shared equally among doctors. |

We are located in scenic eastern NY about one hour northeast of Albany. Hunting, fishing, hiking and skiing opportunities are abundant, in addition to the beautiful Adirondak Mountains of New York or Green Mountains of Vermont which are less than a couple of hours away. New York City and Boston are both about a 3 hour drive away. |
