We are seeking a motivated Associate Veterinarian to fill a vacancy in our 4 Veterinarian practice.
Training Required:
DVM Degree, passed all testing to practice in the US and willingness to take the necessary testing to be licensed in Oregon. We will assist successful candidate with any expenses needed to achieve this licensure.
Experience Desired:
Experience in client communication; wellness exams; knowledge of lab techniques; surgical proficiency in performing spays and neuters; preg checking both via palpation and ultrasound; and any other experience that may be advantageous in a mixed animal practice.
Salary:
Paid a base salary and a percentage of production.

Facilities provided by the veterinary practice:
We have a 4,000 sq. ft. facility, with inside horse stalks and x-ray, outside cattle working facility, three stalls outside and two stalls in a outside facility all placed on two acres just outside Island City/La Grande, Oregon. We also have two F350 Ford trucks with stocked vet boxes. The practice provides all insurance and repairs to facility, equipment, and vehicles.
Other Personnel :
Four veterinarian practice, with 15 support staff which include 2 certified technician positions; 4 veterinary assistant positions; 2 office/client relations positions; and one business manager. The other personnel are made up of part-time kennel/assistant staff positions.
Practice strengths and emphasis of the business:
Client relations is the cornerstone of our practice. We have been here for 35 years, growing and expanding in all aspects of the practice. We provide a wide scope of services from PRP injections in dogs to equine reproduction. Each Veterinary Associate brings their "emphasis" to the practice. We have a loyal clientele and an experienced support staff to keep it all going.
Practice Area:
The Grande Ronde Valley is a beautiful farming community surrounded by mountains. Eastern Oregon State University is located in our community. We are 4 hours from Portland, 3 hours from Boise, Idaho and 2 hours from Tri-Cities, Washington. Our practice area is primarily within the Valley but has a growing clientele from the various metro areas due to availability and services provided. Outdoor activities abound from fishing, hunting, hiking or biking. We like to think of it as "God's country".
