Job Description:

Objective:
|
Five vet practice looking to hire two veterinarians. One position would be primarily dairy. Other position would be beef or small animal depending on vets interest. Both require large and small animal work, but the amount will vary based on position. After hour/emergency calls will be split among veterinarians. |

Training Required:
|
DVM Degree, USDA Accreditation, SD & MN license or ability to obtain one. |

Experience Desired:
|
All levels. New Graduates are welcome. Individual mentorship available when requested. Willing to hire couples. |

Salary:
|
Salary will be based on experience and consists of base salary plus production bonus. |

Membership dues, AVMA liability, continuing education expense, and license dues included. We also offer simple IRA, health insurance, and supplemental insurance. We supply the vet truck and box. |

Facilities provided by the veterinary practice:
|
Our practice has two haul in facilities, 4 hydraulic chutes – three of which are portable and one has a tilt table. On the companion animal side, we have gas anesthesia, ultrasonic dental, laser therapy available and x-ray machine. Blood equipment for all species includes Abaxis HM5 for CBC work and Vetscan 2 for chemical profiles. Three easi-scan ultrasounds are also incorporated. |

Currently the staff consists of five veterinarians, five vet techs and an office manager/bookkeeper. |

We are located in Clear Lake SD population of 1200. Both Brookings, 4th largest city in SD, where SDSU and the state diagnostic lab is located and Watertown, 5th largest city, is a half hour drive and Sioux Falls, SD largest city, is 90 minutes away. Minneapolis St Paul area is only 3 hours away. |
