Objective:
|
We are looking for a full-time veterinarian to join our 8-doctor dairy practice. We are looking for someone who is highly self-motivated and wants to become an excellent veterinarian and integral part of our team. |

Training Required:

DVM or equivalent and California vet license |

Facilities provided by the veterinary practice:

Each vet gets a fully stocked vet truck with any equipment necessary to perform the job, including an ultrasound for pregnancy diagnosis. We have equipment available for routine herd health work, milking equipment analysis, on farm Ovum Pick-Up and more. We have a large in-house milk quality laboratory as well as an IVF laboratory. We have a custom built trailer with a chute and laboratory to provide OPU services to clients who request those services but may not have the facilities necessary. |

A large part of our practice revolves around providing herd health work and consultation to the dairies of the Central Valley. We work in six of the largest dairy counties in the nation. Through our strong mentorship program as well as a wealth of knowledge base from experienced practitioners, we can help set up a new veterinarian for a great start to their career. Mill Creek encourages motivated veterinarians to explore their interests in dairy medicine, and supports those vets in helping clients to become as efficient and profitable as possible. We also provide on-farm OPU and have an in-house IVF laboratory to help meet the needs of any client requesting those services. We have one partner who is AETA certified. New graduates are encouraged to get involved right away with learning the advanced reproductive techniques. One of the biggest advantages of Mill Creek lies in the team atmosphere and support that all veterinarians get from one another. On-call nights and weekends are shared equally between all veterinarians, including the owners. |

MCVS is located in Visalia, which sits in the heart of California's Central Valley. We work in six of the largest dairy counties in the United States. The entrance to Sequoia National Park/Kings Canyon NP is just 45 minutes from Visalia, and Yosemite is less than 3 hours away. In addition, the Central Coast with a multitude of nice beach towns is just a 2 hour drive away. There is snow skiing within a 2 hour drive of Visalia. If you're into outdoor activities this is truly an amazing place to live. In addition, Los Angeles and San Francisco are both approximately 3 hours away. Fresno is 30 minutes north of Visalia and has a very nice international airport to make travel really convenient. |
