The Staff Veterinarian role was developed to provide an additional level of oversight on cattle health and management for all company owned cattle. The Staff Veterinarian will work with teammates (internal and external) to help ensure the success of feeding partners and cattle. The Staff Veterinarian is responsible for managing the health, breeding soundness, and State mandated trich testing of Agri Beef Wagyu bulls.
Training Required:
DVM or VMD required.

Experience Desired:
Practical experience in cattle production and population medicine.

Position is based out of the brand new Bull Development Center in Caldwell, ID. Company provides work truck, computer, and necessary veterinary equipment.
Other Personnel :
One current veterinarian- 2021 Iowa State grad. Will work closely with veterinarians at VRCS. https://vrcsllc.com/. All will provide on the job training and mentorship as needed.
Position will work as part of a team with non-vet coworkers.
Practice strengths and emphasis of the business:
Bull BSE.
Feedlot medicine, population medicine.
Excellent necropsy and pregnancy diagnosis skills.
Feedlot horse herd population medicine.
Cow/calf and ranch consulting.
Ability to explore interests in advanced repro and heifer spaying.
Practice Area:
Majority of work is done in Idaho and Washington. Will work throughout Oregon, California, Nevada, Montana, and Wyoming with partner feedyards, growyards and ranches. Up to 50% travel depending on the season.
