Objective:
|
Mt. Baker Vet in Lynden, WA is looking to add a new associate.
We are a 3 doctor, large animal, ambulatory practice located in the Pacific Northwest right next to the Canadian Border. All 3 doctors work primarily with dairy cattle with a small portion of Beef Cow/Calf and small ruminant work. One of our doctors has been growing an equine clientele that is now 40% of his production with room to grow. We are looking for an associate that is competent in dairy cattle work and interested in growing the equine and small ruminant portion of the practice. Potential for becoming a partner in the practice once established if desired with relatively inexpensive buy-in, due to practice style.

DVM and licensure in the state of Washington and type II USDA accreditation |

Facilities provided by the veterinary practice:

Vehicle and equipment provided. Our practice utilizes portable ultrasounds for reproductive work. We also are equipped with a portable x-ray unit and offer lab services through IDEXX with in house serum chemistries. We also have a portable electroejaculator, ATP meter, parlor evaluation equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment. One of our doctors has a haul-in facility for beef and equine clients. We utilize EzyVet as our practice management software. |

Practice strengths and emphasis of the business:

Mt. Baker vet practices in a county with a strong dairy presence with a growing demand for equine services. Each doctor is able to work independently and flexibly with the support of our office staff and backup by the other doctors. Currently, we cover emergencies for our own clients during the week and share weekend on call. We do not schedule weekend appointments. A new associate would be expected to participate in the weekend on call rotation. We encourage a healthy work-life balance and make every effort to accommodate important events, continuing education, and time off to enjoy everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer. |

Our office in Lynden is located in the middle of our practice area. We are typically within 30 minutes or less! of any appointment. Located between Mountains and the Oceans, the area has lots to offer the outdoor enthusiast. Need some big city amenities? Vancouver, BC is right across the border and Bellingham and Seattle are immediately to the South on the I-5 corridor. |
