Practice strengths and emphasis of the business:

We are a small, close-knit clinic. We have fun with each other, treat everybody kindly and we all have families with small children. We have a room in the clinic for all our kids with a TV and games in it.
Our cattle clientele is 90% cow/calf and we also service the local sale barn every Monday. Our business is very busy with preg checking in the fall/winter and semen testing in the winter/spring. Summers are slower with cattle. Our typical client has between 300 and a thousand cows and is very well-trained to take care of their own fire-engine work. We mainly do the big herd work and consulting.
The small animal clinic has really good clientele and our business model there is to do the common things uncommonly well. We refer anything above the unusual stuff. We do not do any on-call or emergency ever for small animals.
For cattle we do emergency OB calls during calving season only, Jan 15-April 15.
We don't do any equine right now. If someone wanted to there's a lot of work to be done and I can train/mentor someone on horses but it's something we'd have to talk about. |

Top school district in the state, our elementary kids have about 15-18 kids per classroom and the whole class sizes are usually about 30-40.
Davenport is the county seat, it's a very conservative county. Town population 1,100. We are 18 minutes to the nearest boat launch on Lake Roosevelt which is the most gorgeous lake in the Union.
Farming community. Conservative county. 45 minutes from Home Depot and Costco in Spokane. 30 mins to the Spokane Airport. |
