Objective:
|
Opening for an associate veterinarian looking for a job with flexible schedule at a family friendly practice with a great group of vets / support staff & clients & lifestyle if you like rural ambulatory medicine (with the perks of being a short drive to cities). Four day work week with rotational on call (split 4-5 ways) allows you to continue your hobbies / active family life. Dictate your own schedule and never feel the need to sit in an office just because it’s during business hours. Duties include routine herd checks, on farm visits for many species (cows, horses, small ruminants, camelids, swine, some exotic and occasional small animal home/farm visits- routine vaccines or euthanasias), breeding/reproduction work, etc more info/full services on website: www.rvvs.co
Our practice provides services to a huge variety of clients: small and large farms, backyard, work and performance horses, organic and conventional production systems. We provide alternative therapies including acupuncture, manual manipulation, laser treatments. We’d love a flexible, quick learning, open minded associate to grow with us. Any specialty area of interest (for example, equine lameness or podiatry, embryo transfer work, endoscopy etc) is more than welcome and will be fully supported by the practice. Mentorship provided. Experience Desired:

New grads welcome to apply. The more palpation experience the better. Our ideal hire has experience ultrasounding mares and enjoys equine dentals. |

Negotiable; Base+Production, new grads likely to begin with a set salary for first 6 months or longer. Take home ER fees monthly. |

Home base in Fultonville, NY, serving an area about an hour drive in all directions. The region has lots to offer: hiking, fishing, skiing (lots of outdoors activities) and beautiful views. Half an hour to Saratoga Springs, NY, half an hour to Albany, NY. Just north of the Catskills and 15 mins south of the Adirondacks. About an hour drive to Cooperstown, NY. Rural area with many farms of all sizes, but short drive to metropolitan areas. We have close by equine referral centers and it is a three hour drive to Cornell. |
