The scoring rubric is listed below for each category on a scale of 1-10 with 1 being the lowest score and 10 the highest. The Foundation board will assign a weight to each category in evaluating the proposal reviews. The weight will be assigned as follows:

 

 
Criteria
1. Academic qualifications and experience (10% weight)
2. Justification and relevance to the concerns of private practice and the cattle industry (20% weight)
3. Clarity of objectives and probability of completing the research (10% weight)
4. Methodology, scientific merit and feasibility of the study (35% weight)
5. Budget (10% weight)
6. Site suitability for proposed research (10% weight)
