Job Description:

 Eastern Lancaster County Veterinary Clinic has an Immediate opening for a full-time associate veterinarian. Come join our 5-person practice servicing small but progressive dairies and equine facilities in southeastern Pennsylvania. Daily duties include dairy herd health and preventative medicine; equine preventative medicine, internal medicine, lameness, and reproduction (mostly pleasure horse and plain community horses); small ruminant work; and USDA accreditation duties. Small animal work is on-farm vaccinations and puppy checks. Overnight and holiday emergency duty will be shared equally and will include 1 in 5 weekends. Our regular hours, M-F, are from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., with one hour in the morning at our office to answer client phone calls and discuss cases with colleagues. Overnight hotel accommodations and $100 toward travel will be provided for those being interviewed who live more than 100 miles from our clinic. Training Required:
 Veterinary degree, PA state license, USDA accreditation 
Experience Desired:
 We prefer experience, but new graduates welcomed. 
 Above average, new graduate with good skills and work ethic expect to earn 90K+ , more with experience. 
 A regular work week is 4.5 days. with every 5th Friday afternoon off. 2 weeks of paid vacation plus 3 days of paid CE initially, increasing to 3 weeks of paid vacation and 1 week of paid CE within 5 years; comprehensive health insurance with Health Savings Account; group liability insurance; dues paid for one professional associationís annual fee; and annual stipend for a mobile phone plan. Facilities provided by the veterinary practice:
  Our office building is bright and spacious, offering a pleasant environment for our morning phone hours with well-lit surgery rooms for patient procedures. We offer in-house diagnostics, including milk culture testing. A fully-equipped pickup truck with Bowie unit is provided. All supplies, medication, and vehicle insurance/maintenance expenses are paid for by the clinic. A haul-in facility is available with stocks and a padded recovery room for surgery and other procedures. Multiple portable ultrasound units, a 3-meter endoscope, digital radiography, and PowerFloat dental equipment are available 
Other Personnel :   We have 3 partner-veterinarians currently and are seeking an associate-veterinarian to replace a retiring partner. A full-time secretary, part-time bookkeeper, and part-time product manager are also employed by our clinic.
