 We are seeking a fourth veterinarian to join our dairy practice in Vermont’s Champlain Valley. Our current team includes a diversity of backgrounds and experience levels and we can offer a strong support system for a new associate. Ideally, we hope to find the right individual who wants to grow into a long term member of our community. Future ownership is a possibility.  
Training Required:
 DVM or VMD, USDA accreditation for large animals, VT state license, ultrasound experience a plus but training provided if necessary. Experience in or a strong interest in milk quality laboratory work is desirable. If you have unique skills or interests that would add to the services we provide to our clients, we’d love to hear about them. 
Experience Desired:
 Experienced veterinarians or new graduates will be considered. A positive attitude and willingness to learn will be valued above experience level. A working knowledge of PCDart and DairyComp and conversational Spanish would all be a welcome bonuses. 
 A competitive salary commensurate with experience would be negotiable. A production based compensation plan with a guaranteed base would be considered. 
 Health, liability and disability insurance, professional membership dues (AVMA, AABP, VVMA and others considered), VT state license, funds and paid days for CE, paid vacation/personal days and a SIMPLE IRA match after one year. Cell phone provided. On call duties shared equally and emergency fees paid to the on call veterinarian.

Facilities provided by the veterinary practice:
 4WD Toyota Tacoma practice vehicle, BCF ultrasound and any other necessary instruments/tools for a food animal mobile unit. Milk quality lab with aerobic and mycoplasma culturing, SCC machine and microscopes. Embryo transfer equipment and freezer.  
Other Personnel :  The new associate would be the fourth full time veterinarian. There are two retired veterinarians who provide relief work. Three part time office staff manage scheduling, inventory and billing. One of these is also a licensed veterinary technician who works in our lab. 
Practice strengths and emphasis of the business:
 Reproductive ultrasonography and development of herd synchronization plans, milk quality lab with aerobic and mycoplasma culturing, embryo transfer, treatment and vaccination protocol development, records analysis and Hispanic employee training and translating. We would be supportive of any new services that could be developed for our clients. 
Practice Area:  Addison County is one of two major dairy areas in the state of Vermont. There is a strong infrastructure for the industry and a solid group of progressive herds ranging from 40 to 2200 cows. Middlebury is a vibrant college town and the area boasts a range of all season outdoor activities (skiing, hiking, boating, fishing, hunting, etc.). Montreal is about 2.5 hours north and NYC is easily accessible via Amtrak.
