Objective:
|
We are looking for a person who wants to utilize any or all aspects of their education as we continue to grow the Small Animal portion of our practice. A need for someone who enjoys equine medicine and therio, small animal medicine and has good Large Animal skills. We are flexible and can allow a motivated person to pursue and develop their interests and strengths. Opportunity for ownership. |

Training Required:

New York State D.V.M. License, and Accredidation which we will give time to achieve. |

Experience Desired:
|
We have always enjoyed bringing in and mentoring new grads who bring the latest trends in medicine and surgery but do need someone who is confident in getting right out there and helping with Farm calls and emergency work. An ability to help with Small Animal office calls would be appreciated if interested. |

Commensurate with experience and negotiable. |

Office located on main thoroughfare where we have a business office,fully stocked pharmacy, laboratory, doctor's lounge and office area upstairs, full laundry, small animal surgery area, and room to expand. |

We have a wonderful loyal staff of lay people, some who have been with us for over 20 years. We also have a Veterinary Assistant who is excellent at assisting with the office calls and small animal surgery. |

Practice strengths and emphasis of the business:

Herd Health practices that emphasize reproductive efficiency, and calf/ heifer efficient rearing practices, and effective vaccination programs for all species. We are a Preventative Medicine practice who believes in educating our clients for best husbandry practices and animal well being. Our growing Small Animal business goal is to provide affordable basic care for our lower income community. |

We are in upstate New York nestled between the Adirondack Mountains and Catskill Mountains along the Mohawk River. We service some remote areas that are in need of veterinary service but the vast majority of our practice is within a 30-40 mile radius of the physical address of Nelliston, NY. This area is a gorgeous outdoor paradise, but is also conveniently close to Albany, Utica, and Saratoga Springs which provide a diverse amount of cultural pursuits. Housing is very affordable. |
