Objective:
|
Immediate opening for an associate veterinarian. We are a 5 man clinic that is growing rapidly, while that growth is due to an equine clinic in the area closing. We need a primarily dairy veterinarian with an interest in other species, equine, small ruminant and more. Primary work consists of routine herd visits, sick cattle work and emergency calls. We offer great mentoring and a team like culture. Additionally we are including a 5,000.00 signing bonus with our benefit package! It is a three man rotation on-call schedule. Future ownership buy-in is possible. |

Training Required:
|
Veterinary degree, PA license and accreditation. |
|
Experience Desired:
|
Both new graduates and experienced veterinarians are welcome. Proficiency at palpation is preferred and equine skills are all so a plus. |

Salary:
|
Salary dependent on experience, but negotiable. |

Benefits:

$5,000.00 signing bonus, paid vacation, health insurance, 401K (after one year of employment), disability and liability, AVMA and AABP annual dues, PA license. CE allotment and time paid. Practice vehicle and ultrasound provided. |

Facilities provided by the veterinary practice:

Fully stocked practice vehicle provided. Our 'shop' does small lab work and basic bloodwork. We also have 2 digital x-rays, and endo/gastro-scope Penn State Animal Diagnostic lab is close at hand. |

Practice strengths and emphasis of the business:

We are a clinic with a long history in our area. Our client base is a mix of small and large dairy farms with a focus on both small Amish and we do Penn State's dairy, beef, swine, ovine and cervid barns. We have a growing equine business and a wide variety of clients and species. |

We are located near State College, PA which is a vibrant university town. State College offers lots of amenities including many restaurants, local artists, Yes, a big football town, and much more. The area we practice in has small historic towns, Boalsburg and Bellefonte, hiking and biking trails, rivers, streams for boating and swimming, some of the best fly-fishing around and nearby skiing in the winter. |
